Where does our event data come from?
We collect the core facts for each event — name, dates, city, venue, organizer, sector and official website — from two kinds of source: the official websites of organizers and venues, and public trade-fair calendars. Once an organizer claims their profile on Events Checker, they become the primary source for their own events.
How do we check it?
- Every event is reviewed before publishing: we normalise its data, remove duplicates across sources and link it to its official website.
- An event whose exact dates are unknown is not published until the dates are confirmed.
- We re-check the official website when a new edition is announced or a mistake is reported. Gaps can happen, so always confirm on the organizer's site before travelling or booking.
- Recurring events are updated when the next edition is announced, and past events are clearly marked "Ended".
What we do not publish as fact
Prices, daily opening hours and registration terms change often and are announced only by the organizer. We show a price or opening hours only when the organizer has confirmed them; otherwise we say "See organizer website".
How descriptions are written
Short descriptions of imported listings are drafted with AI tools from the facts we collected and reviewed by our team before publishing. Articles and guides are written by our named editors, with their sources.
Badges
- Verified: the organizer has claimed and manages its own profile.
- Official organizer: we have confirmed the organization's identity and that it owns the event rather than acting as an agent.
Independence
Events Checker is not affiliated with any organizer, venue or government body and does not sell tickets. Advertising or paid featured listings may appear; they are always clearly labelled and never change the accuracy of the data.
