Algiers International Book Fair (SILA)

The Algiers International Book Fair (SILA) is an annual cultural event held at the Palais des Expositions (SAFEX) in Algiers, organised by the Ministry of Culture and Arts through the SILA Commission. It stands among the country's major gatherings for publishing and literature.

The fair spans publishing, literature, media and education, bringing publishers and booksellers together with a broad readership. Open to both trade visitors and the general public, it serves professionals negotiating rights and distribution as much as families browsing new titles.

For publishers targeting North African markets, SILA offers direct access to Algerian readers and institutions; for the public, it is a yearly appointment with books in every discipline.
