Where is the Baghdad International Fair?
The grounds are in the Al-Mansour district of Baghdad. The operator uses the address "Baghdad, Al-Mansour, P.O. Box 6188" in its official documents and in the member directory of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
The operator does not publish detailed directions, so confirm access and entry arrangements with each event's organiser. To follow the events held here, see the Baghdad International Fair Grounds page and events in Baghdad on Events Checker.
Who runs the grounds?
The grounds are run by the State Company for Iraqi Fairs and Commercial Services (SCIFCS), part of the Ministry of Trade. According to its entry in the UFI member directory, the company was founded in 1956 and has been a UFI member since 1971.
The company has two official websites: fairs.gov.iq, and expo.gov.iq for online participation booking. Note: neither site opened from outside Iraq when we checked in October 2026.
Halls
The hall table in the 49th fair's participation rules lists Halls 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 23 and 26, plus the Al-Sorouh 1 and Al-Sorouh 2 halls. The Ministry's 2026 calendar also names Hall 1 and "Almasia 1" (the Diamond Hall).
The table gives a total hall area of 35,559 m², of which 18,660 m² is available for stand bookings. The largest is Hall 2, "Baghdad Hall", at 9,750 m². The operator does not publish visitor capacity.
A short history
The first industrial and agricultural exhibition on the current site was held in 1957, and the fair became international in 1964 with five Arab countries taking part. These details come from secondary sources.
The 50th Baghdad International Fair (January 2027)
Iraq Business News, citing the Ministry of Trade, reported that the 50th edition will run from 23 to 29 January 2027 instead of 1 to 7 February, so that it does not coincide with Ramadan. We did not find the announcement on the Ministry's own websites, so treat the date as announced and confirm it before booking.
For comparison, the 49th edition (1–7 February 2026) opened with 36 countries taking part, according to the Iraqi News Agency, and the Minister of Trade said more than 1,100 companies participated.
Participation in the 49th edition was booked online through expo.gov.iq. A registration deadline for the 50th edition has not been announced yet.
